Fear of Flying

 

  • Does even the thought of flying make your heart race?
  • Do routine business or holiday flights send you into a panic?
  • Would you rather stay at home than get on a flight to a lovely exotic location or reconnect with far away family and friends?
  • Do you find yourself thinking that you are missing out on part of life and holding yourself back because of your fear of flying?

Some of the questions above may seem very familiar to you....The good news is that you do not need to be held in the grip of fear every time you think of flying - let alone the actual event of getting on the aeroplane and being airbourne.

There are many different ways of perceiving a fear of flying or a phobia of flying. Some people may find it is the turbulance that they are afraid of, others the thought of being "shut in" the cabin of the aeroplane which invokes a feeling of claustrophobia. Others may be hyper aware of the sounds of the engines and "strange" noises and movements. For some people it is the entire experience, from booking the aeroplane ticket, through to packing for the trip, getting to the airport, checking-in, boarding and take off. The flight itself and then, after what probably seems a lifetime, landing! Whatever triggers the fear for you, let me assure you it can be overcome.

Using my hypnotherapy, NLP and Changing Limiting Beliefs skills, I have worked successfully with many people to help them overcome their fear of flying. Often it takes just one session for you to feel in control again. You will also start to feel neutral about the flight, approaching it in a logical and rational manner.
