When it comes to weight, there are often unhelpful belief systems that are underlying over eating and weight loss. Low self esteem and lack of confidence are also usually present. These issues and any limiting beliefs are dealt with, in the programmes that I offer.
HOW DOES THE WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAMME WORK?
This Programme is NOT a diet, it is NOT a short term quick fix. It is a consistent and steady approach to assist in addressing your relationship with food in a way that allows you to enjoy food, without overeating or feeling guilty!
We focus on the emotional aspects of eating and what drives your over eating. The first session deals with understanding unhelpful beliefs and putting you back in control of your thinking and belief systems. The second session involves the general guidelines that kick start your eating and food awareness and start addressing your realtionship with food. The third addresses any self esteem or confidence issues and if necessary, a forth follow up session can be included to deal with anyhing that may still be lingering or holding you back.
All of the sessions focus on changing your relationship with food in a way that you can enjoy and appreciate it at a different level.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- You will understand the difference between emotional hunger and physiological hunger
- You will still eat the foods you enjoy eating - NO calorie counting
- You will enjoy a new relationship with food
- You will feel in control of food as opposed to feeling like food is on control of you
- You will understand what unconscious drivers have been allowing you to over eat / eat the wrong food
- You will have new strategies installed that stop you from over eating
- Any negative emotional responses to the thought of eating less, leaving food on your plate, eating for reward will be eliminated
SOME FACTS ABOUT LOSING WEIGHT AND DIETING
- Low fat does not = low sugar
- A survey of slimmers carried out by Virgin Money in the UK revealed that it costs, on average, £148 to lose half a kg of excess fat.
- 75% of American women are dissatisfied with their appearance
- Between 90% and 99% of reducing diets fail to produce permanent weight loss.
- Two-thirds of dieters regain the weight within one year. Virtually all regain it within 5 years.
